Sheldon Point Airport Meteorological Station

Station History

November 8, 2002, Station established to help monitor wind directions for airport safety design. Data collection and telemetry system is a cooperative project between ADOT&PF, GW Scientific, Nunam Iqua School, and the Village of Nunam Iqua. Two anemometers (measuring wind speed and direction) are installed in case one stops working data will still be available.
